A bariatric assessment is a standard requirement for most bariatric surgery programs and insurance providers. The evaluation helps determine readiness for surgery, understanding of lifestyle changes, and emotional support needs.

Your bariatric assessment includes:

• Comprehensive clinical interview

• Review of mental health and medical history

• Assessment of eating behaviors and coping skills

• Screening for anxiety, depression, trauma, or substance use

• Readiness assessment for lifestyle changes

• A written evaluation report for your bariatric surgeon or program​
